Kaohsiung Museum of History

"The History of Taiwan" is one of my required courses. The instructor asks us to visit "Kaohsiung Museum of History," and then we should write down our impressions and what we learn from the museum. Therefore, I went to there with my classmate on Christmas Eve. Originally, we all thought it would be boring because of "history." However, it's interesting!!
We saw many works, such as bronze ware, silverware, drawings, pictures, etc.. Every works has its own topic, and these topics give us wide space of imagination. In addition, the exhibition combines with National Palace Museum. We can see the works from National Palace Museum through Internet. Moreover, we can do interaction through multimedia equipment. For example, we hold a electronic fan and approach to a butterfly on the screen. Then the picture on the screen will change into another. Undoubtedly, the science and technology are always advancing. Additionally, we knew the history and events of Kaohsiung like 228 Incident. When we were going to go home, we saw three police officers rode three horses in front of museum. They are "高雄騎警隊." Finally, we took a picture with them and ended this visit. I think that "Kaohsiung Museum of History" is actually worth to go to.

An Interesting Rule

I've watched a news from TV. I think it's really interesting. There is a small township in Brazil. In this township, there is only one cemetery. Certainly, all dead people from this township are buried in this cemetery. However, the cemetery is not big enough to bury gradually. In addition, the land of this small township is not wide enough to build another cemetery. Therefore, the mayor announces a new rule - every townsfolk in this township should be in good health. If anyone die under the age of 65, his/her (the dead's) family will be fined. How funny!! You can't believe that every places where can exercise are all full of people after this rule has been announced, such as gymnasiums, fitness centers, swimming pools, etc.. This is because everyone wants to keep in healthy. Also, they worry if they pass away early, their family will be involved and punished. Unexpectedly, the local economy is growing substantially because every townsfolk spend their money for these entertainment. Additionally, people begin to notice about their diet. They remind themselves of eating more vegetables and fruit. It's really an interesting rule, isn't it??

School Sport's Day in Golden Lion Lake Elementary School

The students in the cram school of my ex-job, they call me up and send me Christmas cards in order to let me know how much they miss me. They ask me why I left. Are they naughty? Or did I quit because they don't have good grades? They tell me that from my quitting until now, just three weeks, they already changed three teachers. And each instructor treats them unkindly. They also tell me that they've begged my ex-boss not to fire me, and they want me to come back. In addition, some of their parents call me up and ask me the reason for resigning. I don't express anything. I just tell those kids "You should respect every instructors and listen to your parents. Be well-behaved and focus on schoolwork." In fact, I'm so touched that they remember me and miss me. Therefore, I promise my students that I'll go and see them on their school sport's day on December, 17.
I went to Golden Lion Lake elementary school in the morning of December, 17. I brought them some snacks and drinks. Those kids were glad to meet me; also, they wrote me some cards and letters and sent me gifts. I saw them running and dancing on the playground, I cheered them. It's really an unforgettable day for me. I think that kids are forgetful, so I hope that they can be used to new teachers as soon as possible.

A Great Trip

My classmates and I are going to Japan for almost ten days during the winter vacation. We will live in a Japanese friend's home. At first, we didn't have exactly plan. Also, we haven't bought the airplane tickets yet. After discussing, we went to a travel agency and applied for the International Student Identity Card. Then we booked the tickets at that moment. Because of the International Student Identity Card, the price of ticket is cheaper. Although the weather in Japan is colder than in Taiwan, we are all looking forward to this tour. Besides enjoying the beautiful scenery and delicious food, we will go to Tokyo Disneyland and stay there for two days. How wonderful!! I'm so glad and excited about this great trip now. I expect that we will enjoy and have a good time!^^

A New Life

Last month, I quitted my job finally that worked in a cram school as a teacher. I thought that I'll be glad to resign originally, but my feeling was complicated at that moment. I couldn't understand why people can say anything that doesn't read his/her mind. My boss told the student's parents that she would find another teacher to replace me. This was because one of my student's schoolwork did less well than before, his parents complained to my boss about their son's grades. Therefore, my boss blamed on me in front of student's parents. However, she told me that she explained to student's parents how great instructor I was. And I'm always responsible for my job and my students. I just couldn't image why my boss could say totally different words between student's parents and me. She wanted to sacrifice me for keeping a student. I was sad and in the dark, and I started to consider that "Can I be a good teacher??" I had no confidence. Thus, I decided to quit in the end of November. I informed my boss in the middle of November, but she refused. However....... Can you guess what happen? After two days, a new teacher came to my classroom and told me that my boss wanted her to care for these students instead of me. My boss has posted a wanted ad on 104 website. Finally, I left there after one week in the middle of November. It hurt me a lot. Am I really happy for resigning? I don't know! I just miss those kids, and I have a new life!!@@
